For sandy, loose or bog-land soil, we recommend using the hoe in a forward direction. With clay type soil, we recommend using the hoe in a backward direction.
Hoeing is recommended on dry and sunny days and to persevere until the weed has come apart. Wait a few hours to allow the ground to dry, then, preferably using a border rake, collect and remove the weed.
